Small in size but ultimately powerful, the atom is a basic performance surfboard scaled down to suit discriminating young riders. The outline is curvy with a slight hip leading into the fins to keep it loose and pull the tail in for small feet, straightening a bit in the trailing fin area for bite, with not too square of a squash tail. It has a medium forward rocker combined with a relaxed area behind centre that accelerates through the fins creating a smooth easy riding board capable of a wide variety of wave types. The nose, tail, and rails are foiled to match the lighter weights of young surfers and comes standard with a single to double concave for smooth rail to rail transitions. The atom can be ordered with alternative tail designs such as a thumb tail, round tail, rounded pin, or a swallow tail. It can also be ordered with a single concave - nose to tail for more powerful surfers.
