Fast and lively Russ's Shorty is a performance board designed and morphed to suit Russell Bierke’s small to medium wave surfing featuring a balanced outline with a little more foam under the front foot for drive with a bit more rail volume than the Surgeon. The rocker has been reduced slightly through centre as well for a more skatey ride and speed in everyday conditions.

A single to double concave bottom deepens through the fin area creating speed then reduces out the tail for release. Suitable for a single concave bottom throughout for riders wanting extra punch and drive if preferred.
Moderate entry rocker combined with a relaxed area behind centre that accelerates through the fins.
This board has a tapered deck with low boxy rails for forgiving performance with a hard edge in the tail for bite. 
A slightly fuller nose makes it a great board for small beach grovels as well as providing drive in smoking good waves.

Good with a variety of tail designs, square, squash or swallow tail  for quicker, more dynamic turning or a thumb tail, or rounded pin for smoother and flowing turns.
